recommendation:
a physical problem has been detected, please run complete surface scan test (which i tried and hung on 4%). if you are not experiencing data loss and seatools reports file system structure errors, they may be caused by a lock-up or failure to shutdown windows correctly. many times, these errors may be repaired through normal system maintenance. if you are experiencing a hardware error, you should isolate the cause and replace the failing component. if you are unsure how to proceed with repairs, contact a pc profesional. after completing any maintenance, run seatools again to verify that all errors have been repaired. if errors continue to occur, the system may not be stable. again, contact a pc profesional.
if you have experienced a data loss, ceas drive operation immediately. profesional data recovery service is the best option to recover your data.

ps: i hope this will help by finding my problem
Hi, The indications from your hard drive test is that it has errors and IS probably failing.
Hard drives are very cheap to buy and easy to fit, athough you will need to take all the usual personal safety and ESD ( anti static) precautions.
You may like to consider installing a new hard drive and then reinstalling Windows.
Let us know if this solves the problem

and what do you mean with LET US KNOW IF IT SOLVES THE PROBLEM, ARE YOU NOT SURE?!!! SO I BUY ONE FOR LUCK?!!
I can't be sure that this will solve your problem….. however its my view that is is likely to be a reasonable step for you to take….
You must appreciate that I'm many thousands of miles away from you…. so I have to rely on your eyes, your ears and your observations in giving me full, accurate and comprehensive information on your machine… and following the procedures I have suggested…….. It's your machine so as always its your call…. ( however on the basis of the information provided by you so far the hard drive is a likely culprit for the problem.
if I had it in my workshop….. then it would be up and running again in next to no time!
It is possible to install Windows on an external hard drive….. however I think it might be better to put in a new hard drive ( internal) as an external hard drive if connected by USB 2 is likely to be considerably slower than a standard IDE or SATA internal connection, but as always… it's your decision.

hi,
was this the mem test you talked about? and how can you see if it is dead? (sorry for my english i am not an english man)
ps: is the TOSHIBA C660 -27Z a good laptop (maybe this is the laptop we are gonna buy)
Hi for the memtest you need to look again at step 8…. ask a chum to burn the bootable CD, try to boot from it and let it run overnight
Generally ANY memory errors indicate a problem with the memory.
The indicators for a hard drive problem are:
1 You cannot successfully run check disk with the r switch….. chkdsk /r
2 Your Seatools hard drive testing utility reports as follows:

4 Toshiba computers have a good reputation, and I have owned a number over the years that have all proved trouble free…… however there will be some folks who hate them…….that's life!
Please check the specification carefully to see that it meets your requirements as I'm not familiar with the model number you quote.
