Hello,
Let me understand, you are dual booting Vista and XP.
The video and sound work with Vista, but not XP.
You have downloaded XP drivers.
Did you install the drivers after you downloaded them?
Did you get the correct drivers?
yes i did install them. i download the drivers from the website of nvidia since there are no drivers in dell.com for windows xp with the model of my laptop. i think the drivers from nvidia wont work because my model needs a drivers specially designed for my model. thats what i think…

This is what I was asking when I asked if you had the correct drivers.
You do not have the correct drivers.
They may not have any drivers for XP. You can always buy a video card that has drivers for XP and use it when you are using XP. (using the other when you are booted in to Vista.) Sounds lame doesn't it? If Nvidia does not have drivers for XP there is nothing that I can do.
yes i have checked it. but the driver available is only for vista. i downloaded some drivers for xp but it is not compatible with my model.
