Hello!
I want to thank everyone who takes the time to help out the community
I have recently gotten a new headset, a Dynex Headset with removable boom microphone (along those lines).
The headset works fine and when I plugged the mic (front panel) in for the first time, it worked. However, after the next boot-up, the microphone stops working.I tried reinstalling SoundMAX and fooled around with the controls to get it to work again.
Unfortunately, this reoccurs after the next boot-up. This process is quite tedious, and I can't find solutions anywhere on the net, so far (other than reinstalling the SoundMAX software). I haven't changed any settings and it just stops working (this never happened on the other headset though)
I had another headset before, it worked fine (rear panel), but this problem occurred a few times before- where I had to reinstall drivers and fool around with the controls to fix it, but it didn't happen after every startup :{
Any ideas? :{
Thank you in advance!

Hi Kywstina,
Others will come by hopefully to assist you, but until then once you have the headset working if you do have to reboot, just plug it in as you did on the first occassion.
Keep us posted if the reconnection works after you reboot.
kind regards,
Once you had the headset working, I would not reboot so much if you are doing it several times daily.I have recently gotten a new headset, a Dynex Headset with removable boom microphone (along those lines).

Thanks for the heads up, heh.
Why would it do such a thing though? *Require me to plug it in after boot up.

kwystina,
Why I was prompted to give you the tip in my last post was because I have a Laptop with external speakers connected via a USB port. Each time I reboot it or start up I have to adjust the volume on the speakers as shutting it down or even rebooting will cause me to do this.
I almost always only use the Laptop for travel, so don't take the external speakers with me. I have made enquiries regarding this glitch and apparently Laptop external speakers all do this.
Perhaps it is the same with your new headphones
?
Another volunteer may know differently, lets us see who replies to tell me I am mistaken!
Best regards,
