Starting last night, i cannot connect to the internet. After calling my ISP, Verizon, they said everything was fine with my connection and router. I disabled my connection and then re-enabled it via "My Computer - Internet Connections." That allowed me to browse the internet but extremely slowly.

As of today, I cannot do anything on the internet. No web browsing, email, NOTHING.

I ran Adaware 6 and it found a WinHound Malware and wouldn't remove it. I then ran a full system scan using Avast 4.8 and it found an infected file and moved it to the chest. Unfortunately I deleted the file without seeing exactly what it was.

I'm using my son's laptop which IS connected to my router via wireless so it can't be the router. Also today, I replaced my ethernet nic card at the request of the Verizon tech support last night. I installed the new NIC card and all of the drivers successfully.

Remember I cannot connect to the internet so I won't be able to download any programs nor scans that you may want me to do. I may be able to download a program via this Mac and transfer it to a CD then to my computer if need be.

Please help ASAP.
