Ventrilo Problems.

Hello Everybody! I Sure could use the help right about now, well actually my friend "Jeezy" could. Ok to get right to the point. His ventrilo is not connecting when hiting the "connect' button. It will just not go through. He is using a differnt computer than what he had before. Atm he is using a laptop Toshiba running windows XP with SP2 1.6ghz , 1gb ram. It will come up with "unable to conect to server". So he doesnt have to ctrl alt dlt it or anything. Also i should mention he is trying to connect off his colleges internet. He mentioned something about me asking (you guys/gals) if you know if that means he needs a "static IP"? (i do not know what that is {a static IP}). I believe i may have had the same issue at one time in my life with ventrilo. However i cannot recall where or how i fixed it. Any suggestions to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Btw we use ventrilo to play UO (yes Ultima Online) {yes i am a nerdy person rl} Thank you again Sirs/Ma'ms/Wiz's/ninjas anyone that can help my friend! TY.

Could be a Password Protected "permission" issue. Ask the College Internet Access Managers. Your friend may already have done this, and made the correct entries on his "other" machine and now needs to do the same.
