Most likely coincidental, but last night I saw the notification down on my toolbar to update Adobe, did so, but upon reboot, I was taken to a fishy looking Windows Diagnostic start up page that will not let the system start up. Please help!
Thank you
Don't know what we can get done here. Since there is no information on what exactly happened we'll have to try and see what can and what can't be done.
Please be ready to use a known clean computer and clean USB drive to transfer to the infected computer.
Reach Safe Mode by powering off two times then getting Diagnosing PC mode. When you power on keep holding power button for 10 seconds. This crashes the boot and after several attempts it enters diagnosing mode OR use the link below ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``
Enter Safe Mode and try to reach the System Configuration Then - Auto Repair Then - Advance Then - Troubleshooting Then - Advanced Then - Selected number 4 Safe Mode <– if reaching the standard way has no results check here to see if startup applications and drivers are turned off. IF you see they are checked off, please checkmark to turn all back on, saved and reboot.

Download the right version of RogueKiller for your Windows version (32 or 64-bit)
Once done, move the executable file to your Desktop, right-click on it and select [external image: Spcusrh.png]Run as Administrator (for Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 users)
Click on the Start Scan button in the right panel, which will bring you to another tab, and click on it again (this time it'll be in the bottom right corner)
Wait for the scan to complete
On completion, the results will be displayed
Check every single entry (threat found), and click on the Remove Selected button
On completion, the results will be displayed. Click on the Open Report button in the bottom left corner, followed by the Open TXT button (also in the bottom left corner)
This will open the report in Notepad. Copy/paste its content in your next reply
Right-click on AdwCleaner.exe and select [external image: Spcusrh.png]Run as Administrator (for Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 users)
Accept the EULA (I accept), then click on Scan
Let the scan complete. Once it's done, make sure that every item listed in the different tabs is checked and click on the Clean button. This will kill all active processes 🖼Click to load external image (V7SD4El.png)
Once the cleaning process is complete, AdwCleaner will ask to restart your computer, do it
After the restart, a log will open when logging in. Please copy/paste the content of that log in your next reply
Thank you for your help. I tried rebooting using the instructions to try to enter safe mode (pics attached) with no luck, keeps re routing to this Windows diagnostic page. Every option in the menu seems to lead to "reboot" or system reset (not an option, given valuable personal files which must be saved/transferred first). How do I add images here? I'm having to converse via my mobile phone
