error 1500: another installation is in progress you must complete that installation before continuing this one. everything was working great friday and sat i did the free upgrade to windows 10, and found out one of the main progs i need to work will not work in windows 10 due to i have to have java 7 up 17. so i downgraded back to my windows 7 and now the same thing its giving me that error now and i cant install anything in reguards to java. ive done uninstall in windows add/remove, ive used ccleaner, ive used the micosoft fix it and javamsi fix it or something nothing is working and it will not let me install. please help if anyone has an idea.

not sure if you've done this or not but first thing i'd try is ctl alt delete and start task manager then force stop anything java related.

 

use this guide to remove any java:- https://www.java.com...er_toolinfo.xml

then try installing again.

 

if still no luck then try this guide :- https://java.com/en/...ual_regedit.xml

and manually edit the registry before trying another install attempt.
