My wired internet won't work I've been trying to fix it for 3+ hours. My wireless works but its verrrrry slow… I did a diagnosis and it says "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP Configuration"

Someone please help?

Hi Erato,

A little more information would be useful,

1 when did the problem start?

2 What changes were made immediately prior to the fault happening?

3 Is your network adapter showing any yellow or red flags in Device Manager?

4 Have you power cycled your modem/router/WAP?

5 Have you checked your ipconfig?

Make and model number of your modem/router?

6 ADSL or fibre optic or cable?

7 Have you tried a System Restore Point created before the problem started?

8 Have you checked/replaced all cables to and from your modem /router/computer with known good working ones?

9 Have you checked voltage of the mains supply at your electrical outlet used for your IT systems?
