Reboot stuck on blue screen

Hi there, I was starting to run the Norton Power EraserTool in safe mode and at the beginning of Rootkit scan, it shut my system down. Now I reboot to either normal mode or safe mode and get the blue screen message. DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the Tech Info: Stop: 0X000000D1, (0X0000016C, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0XF805E791. How can I start/reboot my computer? It is windows Xp, Dell E5100. Please Help!!!

From the Norton web site:

Because Norton Power Eraser uses aggressive methods to detect threats, there is a risk that it can select some legitimate programs for removal. You should use this tool very carefully.

Can you boot to Safe Mode by pressing F8 during boot? If so, select Last know good configuration that worked, see if that helps.
