Hello, having an issue with a client computer. When we try to update, it says the server failed to connect, and I am guessing this is being caused by malware. What is my first step? Thanks in advance!

The help that you receive at WhatTheTech is provided for free by volunteers such as myself. We're not here to help you make money - if you're in over your head, then you need to go and invest in some proper training. I might be more sympathetic if you hadn't run Combofix against clear directions that it shouldn't be run without supervision and then came here to clean up what you needed and abandoned your previous thread
