OK so i ahve 2 Ethernet ports ont he back of my motherboard, both are 'Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller'. A while back i deleted one accidently, seeing as though i never needed it, it didn't bother me, now im trying to bridge the internet from my main PC to my Laptop using an ethernet cable, which requires me to have this second port found, it does not show up in device manager, it does not show up anwhere on my computer, as far as my computer is concerned, it only has 1 Ethernet port hwere in fact i can physically see 2 behind it on the motherboard. Any help on locating it and having it display in device manager at least would be really appreciated. So far i have tried updating driverson the already existing one only to get drivers are up to date, and im rather stuck on the situation
it might be there but hidden in device manager, so i think you can get to see it again by going into device manager and clicking on the view button at top then ticking the show hidden devices maybe. just saw your last post, that was what i was going to add in an edit to my post.. :D glad you found it anyway.
