I know that i don't need a new one because i just got my computer a month and a half ago. Given the above you can try 2 things, first go to the motherboard makers site, and download\install the latest drivers, it will probably be the chipset driver for that, but if it is an nForce board then that will have it, see if that solves this. Should you still have problems then go into the device manager, expand the drive part, right click on it and select uninstall, then reboot and allow the system to automatically install it again when the found new hardware wizard comes up, one of these should certainly work if it is purely a driver issue, so see if this helps.
It didn't work, but thanks for the help. I have to take my computer in tomorrow anyways, because i don't have any fans in my computer, only the ones on my graphics card and stuff. So i'll just get them to take a look at it.
