First — thank you all for the help with my problems concerning Spyguard virus .. that was fantastic, and your solutions worked perfectly. Hopefully you can help me solve this problem as well. My Digital Imaging Monitor is no longer functioning. I have an HP Pavilion d1000y Running XP Printer is an HPDeskjet 4180 a couple of months ago, I sought to replace the printer with another HP product. However, the new printer had to be returned as it was broken physically, and I reinstalled my old printer. In doing so, I believe I did something wrong, which knocked my Digital Imaging Monitor out of order … something I very much need and use, especially when scanning, etc. Would love your help with this. Thanks, Chris K. aka, Goat
Hi Chris,

First — thank you all for the help with my problems concerning Spyguard virus .. that was fantastic, and your solutions worked perfectly.

Glad we were able to help solve those problems :)

Are there a lot of settings that have to be set in the Digital Imaging Monitor that you do not want to lose? Or any other important files? I do not really know what kind of program this is, but I hope it is just the program controlling your scanner.

If that latter is the case, you may want to try uninstalling the software, then rebooting one or two times and reinstalling it. To uninstall the software:
  • Click Start
  • Go to Control Panel
  • Go to Add/Remove Programs
  • Find and click Remove for the Digital Imaging Monitor or HP Digital Imaging Monitor

Please let us know.

Regards,
John.
