All four computers on my wireless network are connected to the Internet, but after I changed my modem's channel (to correct an intermittent connection problem on one client) and security key, everything went haywire. The host connects to the server, but not the two machines on my wireless network. A third client computer is hard wired to the host and is OK. I have been through the setup for the D-Link G604T, but am not sure I have the right settings info for it as far as my dead m/cs are concerned. Have also been through the settings in both Firefox and Explorer (direct connection to the Internet selected). My ISP lost interest as soon as he knew it was a network problem. I'd be grateful for any help to get these computers in contact with server again. Thanks.
Hi and welcome to the WTT forums
:welcome:
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your ADSL wireless router…on the laptops that are having difficulty picking up or using the wireless signal from your router, ensure that you have set up the encryption correctly (the key used on both router and laptop must be identical) and that the network adaptor in the laptops are looking at the channel number you changed to in your router.

It is sometimes best for a second or two to remove the encryption entirely and allow the broadcast of the SSID and also disable your 2 way software firewall, just whilst you get it all set up. However be sure to protect the network correctly once connections have been satisfactorily achieved.

Get the settings required from your ISP if you are in any doubt on them….its best for them to email them to you…..mistakes can happen over the phone.
Once you have got this then have a look here and you will be able to download the set up instructions and lots of other info:

If you are not in the UK then you will need to access the support pages relevant to your particular country/jurisdiction.

Thank you, paws, for your prompt and clear reply to my post. I shall tackle the problem again in the morning (it's 10:15 pm here in New Zealand) and let you know the result of your and my efforts. Rocky
