Logon UI error?

I had an error message pop up the other day that said "Windows Logon UI has encountered a problem and needs to close." Could someone please help me fix this problem? All help is much appreciated. —Kate

Hi kate and welcome to the WTT forums I see that you have posted an HJT log in the malware removal forum, and it would be best therefore if you made no system changes until your log has been analysed, and a response received from a malware removal expert. The number of folks requesting detailed advice and recommendations on their machines sometimes exceeds the number of trained expert malware fighter volunteers available, so if you can, try and be patient..although I know it can be tough waiting. Once your machine has been declared free from undesirable elements, please post back here in this forum if you are still having issues with it and we will do our best to help. Regards paws
