can anyone help im running xp pro on my compaq laptop and when its starting up a dialog box comes up with winlogon.exe reference to memory error ,then shuts down every time i cancel or close the box?

A helpful friend fixed the problem i had with my XP crashing ,winlogon.exe turned out to be a virus that had taken over my computer.Thanx for the interest anyway rand1038
