Can Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware be used regularly like Ad-Aware can?

What (free) firewall software do you recommend?

Also, can you check this last HijackThis log for good measure? I made it after following the instructions in your last post.

I'm glad you posted a new HJT log.
1. Yes. Malwarebytes can be used regularly. There are differences between the free version and the paid for version. More information here:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

2. I now notice Yahoo!\Antivirus. You only want one anti-virus running at one time.

3. You have Norton Personal Firewall running now. If you want to use a different one, be sure to uninstall Norton's.
Below is a list of two free firewalls (in no order of preference). It is important to note that you should only have one firewall installed at a time, but you can download to your Desktop and install each in turn to see which one you prefer.

Also, IMO, the Grisoft\AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5, used to be a good Anti-Spyware program but now is pretty worthless as is Ad-Aware 2007 .

I suggest you do this:

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.

You need To disable TeaTimer, it can stop our fix.

1) Run Spybot-S&D
2) Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3) On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4) Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts

The best way is to do both, Right click the system tray icon and shut down. This will reset TT's registry snapshot. Then, open spybot in advanced mode and turn it off. When cleaning is done, open Spybot in advanced mode to turn back on.

Once fix is completed in the all clear post!!

Enable Teatimer

1.Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2.Next, open Add/Remove Programs and remove if listed:
Viewpoint <–All Viewpoint programs listed
Yahoo!\Antivirus
Grisoft\AVG Anti-Spyware <–Anti-Spyware, not the Anti-Virus

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a checkmark/tick in the box on the left side on these:

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
I won't be able to work on the computer until this weekend. It's the last week of 3rd quarter (school) and I've got a lot of work to do. I'll let you know what happens this weekend when I follow the instructions given. Thanks
For some reason I'm unable to uninstall AVG Anti-Spyware. When I click remove under add/remove programs, nothing happens, the window is just unresponsive and I have to close it. The uninstall exe for it also does nothing.
