hi everybody!

i have a computer problem again :'(

i recently got the BSOD after downloading some freeware online, and then i tried to fix it, but made things worse by messing up settings and such…. so i redownloaded windowx xp (sp 2) onto my toshiba a55-s306 laptop (going on 4 years, dont laugh!), and things were going well at first, but i downloaded some 10 drivers off the toshiba tech site (bc i couldnt find the cd, and i didnt know which ones i needed, so i took all of the ones listed for my model + operating system) — and now im getting this BSOD mssg:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
*STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x86400000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf7428a98)
* w22n51.sys-Adress F7428A98 base at F73B5000, Datestamp 3ff54d71

the BSOD is occuring at seemingly random times.

I am including a screen shot of the listing under "memory" in my device manager (using "devices by type" view)… i notice that there are multiple listings for what looks like the same hardware. is this normal, or a hideous outgrowth of my shortsighted driver consumption?

oh dear ^^

any advice is welcomed!! thanks!!

Hi there Karin Anne well, to much and to few of all things makes the life go sour. Easiest way by far in a situation like this, is to restore the PC to a point where the prob's werent there, using the system-restore option. Instead of trying to delete/uninstall single drivers one by one…….. Regards Abydos
Hello, When you say that you "redownloaded Windows XP", do you mean that you reinstalled XP from the Internet? It looks like you may be infected, but could you please go to Windows updates and download the latest updates from Microsoft.
