For months I have been using a rule I created to delete certain emails with a unique string in the heading. Suddenly this has stopped working. On examination I find this rule de-activated (box not ticked) and in the Rules List there is an unexplained icon depicting a hammer crossed by a spanner, and a tiny ellipsis (...) Nothing I click on acknowledges there is a problem. If I re-enable the rule (tick the box) and run it immediately, it works. However, next time I open Outlook is is de-activated again. I've search Help, the Web, and Microsoft but find no references. Am I going mad, or is Bill Gates playing games with me . . . again. Anyone know the explanation? Many thanks Philip
