Hi and welcome to the forum
If I understand you correctly, whilst fitting some memory you damaged your Motherboard?
You then fitted a replacement motherboard and are getting errors on boot?
If the damage to your motherboard was caused by Electro Static Discharge or operator error then it's quite likely that other components may also have failed.
If you did not reinstall Windows after replacing your mother board (even though its the same model) then you have adopted a risky strategy that usually fails, however on some occasions (rare) it does seem to work.
My recommendation is that you consider the following:
1 Back up everything on your hard drive to facilitate the reinstall of Windows
2 Reinstall Windows, start first with a "non destructive" repair on top installation, and see how you go
3 Be prepared to run your machine with as little attached to it as possible
(only one RAM module, no peripherals or USB stuff attached and only minimum daughter boards necessary to function
5 Reboot your machine and report back.
If you are uncertain of exactly what you need to back up and or how you can do it ( bearing in mind your machine won' t boot correctly at the moment,) then post back for further information.
Please take all necessary personal safety and antistatic (ESD) precautions and if you are unsure of exactly what is required then it may be best to use the services of a local competent computer technician to do this for you. It is great to save money and to learn, but not at the expense of your personal safety or risk of damage to your data, settings, computer hardware or all four!

Another suggestion would be to make sure you have the CPU cooling fan istalled properly. I have seen this happen when it wasn't seated properly. With the newer CPU chip's they overheat quickly and will shutdown.
i tried to do a reinstall but the system hangs at "setup is starting windows"…………forever. the last msg posted to the screen when i attempt to boot in safe mode is "aliperf.sys" then restart. do you know if winxxx writes the msg to the screen and then execute or execute then write to the screen? i'm attempting to find out from pcchips if there is a difference in the board id that msft might use? this before i attempt a complete reload.
Hi, Are you trying to do a reinstall "on top" repair from within Windows??
It is normally best to do a full format and reinstall when replacing your mobo
