Just an FYI. I purchased a new Acer Aspire 5315 laptop and did all of the Windows Updates, no problem. :) Then, I noticed it said I had an Intel video update. OK, I figured I would do it. :) Before it was finished, the BSOD appeared. I had to return under safe mode and delete the items from Device Manager and then reboot and install the previous driver. I was not offered a Driver rollback option (button was grayed out). :weee: So, anyone in the same situation should update with caution. DR
Acer has been very "unforgiving" recently. They list Drivers on their own site, but nVidia doesn't even have the correct specific driver. Lots of people have had difficulty when using Microsoft optional Driver Updates. Doug
