I have winxp with SAV corporate ed installed, free spybot and free adaware. I received a questionable email (my mistake) and opened it. Since then I am having trouble with Smitfraud and Zlog downloader viruses. I found Smitfraud almost immediately with spybot. It removed it as far as Spybot is concerned but once I started with the viruses my novel login changed from the stardard screen with lines to put in the data to a "cute" diagram showing crtl + alt + del keys. I have NOT pressed the keys as it shows but reboot and enter with safemode (without networking). I've run SAV, Nod32 (which found many files Smitfraud and Zlob and were deleted), comboFix and SmitfraudFix. How can I get my old novel login back? How do I know if it is safe to do the login to Novel? I understand that one of the affects of these viruses is fake login's. Please help. Thank-you. If I've made any protocol errors please let me know.
