Hello,

I've been having some problems with my computer...obviously. I've been doing a Spybot S&D scan and AVG free scan every time I turn on my computer, so the problem isn't too out of hand. But everytime I run an S&D scan, I get about 3 viruses that need to be deleted (Virtumonde and Generic5 being 2 of them). I started to do the "How to remove Smitfraud" (http://forums.whatth...html&hl=Generic), and it said to post the rapport.txt and hijackthis logfile in a new topic. I haven't posted a forum in a while, since the change, so if I'm not doing something right please tell me. SO here we go...this is the smitfraud rapport, and hijackthis logfile after the S&D and AVG free antivirus scans.

Here is what I would suggest at this point:

Download and Run ComboFix
  • Download this file from below:
    Here
  • Disconnect from the Internet, than disable your Anti-virus and any real-time Anti-spyware monitors that are running.
  • Then double click Combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply with a new HijackThis log.
Note 1: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall
Note 2: Remember to re-enable your Anti-virus and Anti-spyware before reconnecting to the Internet.

while the ComboFix was finishing up after the reboot, there were some notifications that popped up that said something like RunDll32.exe had to be terminated. I'm just curious if thats supposed to happen or not.

Thank You,

Creegs3

Looks better, how's it running? I would recommend you update and run your AVG Antivirus and Antispyware programs, letting them fix or quarantine anything they find.

It is running better and no more popups and such. Thank you for the help. I have one question. I ran the Spybot S&D update and it updated to v1.5. After I updated it, it's been running a little different; the program opens slower, and the SDHelper or w/e it is popped up a couple times warning about a known malicious file (activeX something). The SDHelper isn't activated, nor is the TeaTimer, but the popup still...um...popped up ^_^ . It's probably nothing, but I figured I would ask, couldn't hurt. Otherwise, everything is fine and I appreciate the assistance. Thank you, Creegs3

Glad to hear it's better. For the Spybot issue, I would recommend removing your current version(s) and download/install again. Did you update through 1.4, or did you just install the new version?
