Pc Gone Crazy ( Update

Hello every body !!! Okay first i would like to thank all involved in helping me with my post concerning my friends pc!!! the probs. with the prod. key is solved and the pc did a 360 in performance !!!! the only thing that i am having trouble with now is the windows defrager and the scan disk , they are running real slow , i can do a defrag / scan disk and about an hour later run them again and they still run slow , compared to my pc this one only has half the programs and my pc will finish first!!!!same with the scan disk !!!! any advice would be helpful Thanks Doug and Shelflife Mike

Scan Disk and Defrag may run at different speeds due to: File Format System - Fat32 vs NTFS File cluster size 4kb 8kb 16kb Amount of current fragmentation Operating system Size and speed of Hard Drive CPU cycle speed RAM resources MoBo Cache resources Time of day, mood of owner/operator, weather, number hitless at-bats Barry Bonds extends his streak to. etc….. J/K But it is a mystery sometimes. Best Regards
