I recently installed Kodak Easy share on my computer ever since I did my computer is running like carp** very slow, I've tried to remove under control panel from add/remove programs it won't let me remove it, it keeps saying "another instance of Kodak is already running" I don't know what this is and I want this program off my computer.
When you originally installed Kodak Easy Share you may have allowed the default installation to cause Kodak Easy Share to be started when you reboot or turn on your machine.
If you did, then you probably see an Icon for it in the Notification area of your Tray - lower right-hand corner near your clock.
If a Kodak Easy Share icon appears there, then right-click on it and select "disable" or "exit" to terminate Kodak Easy Share.
Then go back to Control Panel - Add/Remove to uninstall.
__________
If there is no Icon for Kodak Easy Share in your Notification area, we'll take some additional steps.
(Only if the above didn't work)
Go to:
Start - Run - (type)MSCONFIG - Enter
This opens your System Configuration Utility
Select - STARTUP(tab)
in the listing of applications and processes in your STARTUP panel, remove the checkmark/tick from in front of any item related to Kodak Easy Share.
Click - Apply
Click - Close
You will be prompted to Re-Boot to allow the changes you made to take effect. Agree to do so, Yes
When your machine reboots, a warning will be displayed, saying that "some changes were made", etc.
That's OK. We know we just made some changes.
Put a checkmark/tick in the box that says "Don't show me this warning again".
Then Click - OK
You should now be able to uninstall Kodak Easy Share via Control Panel - Add/Remove.
If there are other complicating factors, please post back with specifics and questions as necessary.
Best Regards
