Hi, I am trying to work on my dads sound. He's 86 today and he's learning the computer for the first time. I have some questions tho. Question 1) Is there a way to disable right click? He keeps making 20 of one icon or the opposite and all are gone! No where to be found including the recycle bin. I know he is right clicking and messing with the options. Basically because he doesn't know how to click and drag. I think I'll wait a while on that one. ;) Question 2) I can not get the sound to work at all. I checked the drivers and did all it says for trouble shooting. I don't use the sound myself very much but it is a sore spot with him. He wants to hear his airplanes in his pilot games….. Which means because he is legally deaf we will be blasted out of the house. But at 86, daddy gets what daddy wants. Even if it feels like a plane is landing on the roof! Thank you ahead of time….Lynne
Hi,
Please give your father the best regards and congratulations of all on the Tomcoyote forums for his 86th birthday.

A good way of helping your Pa may be to introduce him to the game Solitaire (AKA Patience) a lot of folks have played this in the past with a regular deck of cards and so find it relatively easy to switch to the Windows version (which can be found by going to:

1 Start
2 Run
(and type in the box)

3 sol.exe

4 Click on OK

Because of the need to click and drag, one card or set of cards, around the screen (and release the click and drag at the correct time) it very quickly and effectively develops the "click and drag skill" so it soon becomes second nature.

I understand you want to wait a while on the right click issue…hopefully the problem will disappear after a few games of Solitaire!

Getting the sound going is obviously very important so here's a good link that should enable you to sort out the problem pretty quickly.
