Media Detection in Progress-screen hangs up

I get a Media detection in progress, please wait screen hang up usually when I first insert a cd or dvd into a drive. it's a hp media center pc. Any ideas?

If not, go to the next step.
Disable Autoplay of CD>>-Right-click on the drive icon for your CD drive, CD recorder, or DVD drive, and select Properties.
Choose the AutoPlay tab, and choose the desired action for each type of CD. For example, choose Music CD, then click Select an action to perform, then select Take no action.

2nd Method:
start – run – type msconfig and press OK. Go to the startup tab, "Uncheck disc_gui process". Click on OK, Exit without a Restart.

3rd Method: Uninstallation of DISCover Games from Add/Remove Programs of Control Panel.
You can also reinstall the same from Application Recovery - Click Start, All Programs, HP Tools or PC Help and Tools, and Application Recovery > Software Installation > HP Games or DIScover Games(install it). Restart.
