Hello their my cdrom wont detect any form of media (ie:games, music etc) none of them are burned media. It will show the busy signal on the cd rom but will just stop after several trys. The cd's work on my other pc. I dont know what is causing this problem Any help is much appriciated Thanks Alex
Did you recently install this CD Drive? If so double check to see that it is recognized in your BIOS and that the Jumper settings are correct for the position you've installed it on the IDE ribbon. Next, Check in Device Manager for any yellow or red warnings. If such warning is present in your CD device, right click on the device driver and select "remove". Now reboot your computer and allow Windows to "find new Hardware, and "install drivers for new hardware". Should fix you up. Please post back with your results. Best Regards
If your OS is recognizing the cdrom, I would say that the rom itself is bad. I have seen this more then 1 time. Hope this helps.
sounds like a cd rom drive issue. take out the rom and put it in your other computer and see if u still get the same issue. if so u might want to replace or return it to where u got it
