Any good antispyware and antivirus

Hi , i seem to have an decreased computer performance. Therefore i suspect that there are many hidden spyware and virus inside my system which is very hard to be detected. I tried Norton Antivirus , but it doesnt provide me with OnTime Protection. As it was just only trial verison.. Therefore i wanted a good antivirus/anti spyware programme which DOESN'T affect my computer bootup time/performance/slowing down the process. As the reason i dont want to use Norton is that it slow down my boot up time and it was TOO secure. =P Hope you people will post some suggestion for my computer. Anyway , my computer is for gamming.. no others purposes. I didnt have any protection at ALL … no firewall , no antivirus…

If you use the Internet on the computer that has no firewall, no antivirus and is running a Windows operating system you are running on "borrowed time"

As a matter of great urgency use a fully protected computer to download a suitable fire wall and anti virus and install then (After updating) on the vulnerable computer.
It is recommended that you do not connect to the internet, and you remove your router (if fitted) untill the above two steps have been completed.
AVG anti virus is good
Zone Alarm Firewall is well recommended.
