I am getting this grey box with a red outline on the outside of the box that says that my computer is infected. When I click on it, the link sends me to www.spywarequake.com. Please advise. Thank you so much!!! Whoever replies please provide a detailed analysis of how to work this out.

Below are the results of the search: (this is the only thing I could cut and paste). Thanks again.

Hi :wavey: Hi I'm Angelfire777 and it'll be my pleasure to assist you in your problem. Reasearching Hijackthis logs could take sometime so please, be patient while I research a fix for you. Also, I have to let experts check my fixes first before bringing them to you. Please observe these while we work: 1.) Please stick with this thread until we are finished, do not start a new topic here or start a new thread at other forums. Do not worry, We were trained to help and never give up until we get you all fixed up. 2.) Stop if you have questions!! Never proceed if something is unclear to you. We don't want to start all over again. 3.) Avoid downloading other applications or other anti-spyware programs unless you really need to. 4.) Lastly, please be patient and never lose hope. Sometimes, it will take us several tries and posts to get something done. Sit back tight, I'll be back for you!
You are running Hijackthis from your desktop. While in the process of cleaning, backups are made everytime we fix an item in the log. Your desktop will look messy if we have a lot to fix, so I strongly suggest that you relocate Hijackthis to its own folder.

a.) While in your desktop, Right click in the background > Go to new > Click folder > Name the folder HJT

b.) After creating the folder, find your Hijackthis.exe (it looks like a detonator with some dynamites). Then drag and drop that file to the new folder you created.

c.) If you need some more info on why it is dangerous to run Hijackthis in your desktop and if you want more instructions on how to put Hijackthis in its own folder, you can refer to this site Here
==========================
Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

DO NOT run any other options until you are told to do so

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
