this may or may not be related to my hjt log im sure some one will tell me.about a week ago my computer started asking for a password,now i have never set up a password so this cames as a suprise to me.i phoned my supplier and asked them about it and they told me i had a major windows problem and would need to re-install.im running winxp pro64bit.when it comes to the password prompt it has administrator as the user name and the password space is blank if i hit enter without putting a password in windows starts up and i seem to be logged in to my administrator account ie.when i click start it says administrator at the top of the start menu,but when i try to use add remove programs or set program access and defaults nothing happens.i will be sending my pc back to the supplier to have it set up to use a raid config when gigabyte release stable drivers so the os will be re-installed when this is done and as ive said apart from a couple of minor problems i can still use my pc what i want to know is why this happened.im one of those people that has to know why about everything concerning my pc so if anybody could shed any light on this i would be gratefull.thanks.
