I am running windows XP on a dell laptop. Recently, after rebooting, the display resets to the lowest resolution and color settings (640x480) - this occurs after the reboot, and the display does appear for a few seconds in the desired resolution before resetting. This began very soon after I installed "google earth", though I am not sure this is related. I pasted a hijackthis logfile header in case this is useful.
