Hello, Please forgive if this is not the correct forum, System Restore has not created "auto" checkpoints, restore points for approx a month. Also unable to create restore point "manually". Don't know where to start

What happens when you try and make one manually - any error message?
Anything logged in the Event Log (Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Event Viewer) when you try and set one?
Have you tried turning off system restore (in Control Panel - System), rebooting and then restarting it again?
Is the System Restore Service actually Started? (Check in Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services : System Restore Services.)

Hi Andrew and thank you for responding. Manual yields error: System Restore is not able to creat a restore point. Please restart computer, and then run System Restore again. I follow directions, receive same error. Also, nothing in event viewer when attempt manual, also no previous points listed. System Restore is active and running. Also, turned off/on several times, followed by restart - same problem. Everyone under the sun has tried to figure out what it is to no avail…very frustrating! Everything was fine until XP SP2, and I unable to uninstall the svc. pk. and re-install, get an error regarding a Bosnian language. SP2 was downloaded directly through Windows Update! I think another PC might do? Thank you again for the help.
