I am trying to set my system to an earlier date, but I always end up with a "System Restore Failure". I have tried System Restore in Safe Mode with the same results. Can anyone offer a solution?
Hi Kenny. To get a specific answer you would probably have to provide some further details about your computer, the history of the problem, why you are trying to attempt a system restore, and what you have done to try and resolve the problem. System restore can fail for many reasons. System restore is a "chain" of events. In order to restore to an earlier date the chain from today all the way back to the date you want to restore to must not be broken. If yesterday is broken, then every other restore points is broken before yesterday. There are also many other software issues that might cause system restore to fail. The hard drive could be having problems, the services may be failing or turned off, system restore just might be corrupt (the chain is broken), you may have viruses, etc. Provide as much detail as you can and we can provide a better answer.
