When i push empty recycle bin, it replies, are you sure you want to delete the selected 75 items. I clicked yes, i push the empty again, it repeats the 75 items. The problem is that nothing i delete goes into the recycle bin and i can never find the item again. No items show up in the recycle bin when i open it, but it still believes that there are still 75 items in it. Any reply would be greatly appreciated.
go to start-> run then type in cd c:\recycler hit enter then type in: directories and files with attrib -r -h -s /S /D *.*. Then go to the recycle bin. You should the files. Try moving the files out of the recycle bin and deleting them again hope this helps, wng
Thank you for your reply, but i dont understand what it is your trying to say:

go to start-> run <–completed

then type in cd c:\recycler <– i thought you meant c:\recycler so that's what i put in

hit enter <–complete which opened the recycle bin

then type in:
directories and files with attrib -r -h -s /S /D *.*. <—this is the part i dont understand… please explain further
hehe i left out a step…. SORRY!!!! go to start -> run type in cmd hit enter then type in: cd c:\recycler hit enter then type in: attrib -r -h -s /S /D *.* Now you should be able to see all of the files in your recycling bin.
