Dashbar Toolbar & Entries Marked 06

Having followed the instructions using Spybot SD (latest version) I still have something called Dashbar appear in IE 6. This BHO must be removed from my system, if only for my own sanity.

Also, was not sure if I should really remove the two entries starting with 06 in the HJ log as they do not appear to be malicious.

Thanks in advance for any insight you might offer.

Hello Sqrob

Here is what to do. Make sure all browsers and windows are closed except for hijack this, put a check against the following and hit fix

O3 - Toolbar: DashBar Toolbar - {CC90CDA0-74A0-45b4-80EF-D89CA8C249B8} - C:\Program Files\DashBar\DashBar15.dll

as far as the 06's go, unless you have the Spybot S&D option 'Lock homepage from changes' active, have HijackThis fix these too.

Reboot and delete this folder

C:Program Files\Dashbar <—– folder

Hopefully that should sort out your dashbar problem :)
