I don't know if I have a new bug not detected by adaware or symantec IT security or the recent installation of norton's security program is a beast.

Also Internet security asked me to uninstall Spybot S&D, which I reluctantly obliged.

Here is my HJT log. Thanks for your assistance.

You can do the fixes below, if you want. It's just a little "cleanup".

I see no "bugs" in your log.

I've had Norton Internet Security/Antivirus 2006 since December.

I never uninstalled Spybot, and have suffered no "consequences" (all the Norton program run fine).

And I run Spybot once a week.

;)

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.
So I should be able to resinstall spybot S&D without conflict? Also, do you have system speed issues on bootup with Norton Internet Security? Or is there another issue here that is not related to the new installation of this program. This slowdown has occured only since the installation.

So I should be able to resinstall spybot S&D without conflict?

All I can tell you is that I have suffered no "conflict".

And, yes your system will boot slower after the installation because you've got more programs loading.
:)
