lamma, please do as Siggyx has suggested.

You can disable it by using ALT/CTRL/DEL and end the process for Spywareguard then do the fix as suggested.

Let me know if that works. If not, we'll try another way :D

Thanks Siggyx
I ran Registrar Lite after totally disabling Spywareguard, but it didn't find the four bwgo00 files in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp.. Killbox won't delete them either - even after disabling spywareguard. Thanks Siggyx + LDTate. Lamma
LDTate, Here is the logfile from qoologic.bat: C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\qoologic PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL FILES FOUND BY THIS METHOD ARE NOT BAD FILES, THERE MIGHT BE LEGIT FILES LISTED AND PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHILE FIXING. LDTate, I forgot to mention behaviour. I often get a dialogue box appear that says that " Changes have been made to the global template Normal.dot" do I want to save the changes? I always click no. This is obviously WORD related, but I don't know why it appears. Also, more seriously I have unexpected application closures. A dialogue box comes up with "Sorry for the inconvenience, but had to close unexpectedly" It gives me an option to close the program or to debug. I have used both buttons in the past. I hope this is useful. Lamma
Search for and delete Normal.dot

Word will create a new one when it opens.

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
LDTate,

Sorry for the delay in replying, it wasn't intentional. I've just done the search for Normal.dot, but nothing was found… if it happens again I'll delete it and let you know.

Here is the new logfile.

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
