Hi, once again since this forum has been of great help to me in the past, I'm entrusting my current situation with you all again.
Late last week, I started getting pop-up ads, some of them seemed to be coming from google-analytics or being redirects. I run Norton Security Suite on my computer for all my virus protection and it started blocking "trojan.gen.2" - I looked that up and followed the advice symantec gives to remove that trojan. Ran a full comprehensive scan of my computer, and it removed two files and things started to work fine. The next day, things were back and I started getting the pop-ups for "XP Home Security 2011." It has blocked me running most applications, especially any internet browser.
I restarted my computer in safe mode, and through the Administrator account, I am able to log on here and get the programs I need to assist you. The malware program is affecting my main account (which is also set up as an administrator account) - so once I had the programs, I saved them into my administrator's documents folder, which I am able to access when logged in under my main account. I have done so and have run the scans for both OTL and HiJackThis. I'm posting the log from HiJackThis for now, but I can easily post the OTL logs if that would better help whoever first assists me.
I thank whoever helps me with resolving this in advance!
