Well, my physical memory is 223MB.. Doesnt RAM have to be divisible by 8

No. Sometimes onboard video uses some of your ram. In your case I would imagine you have 256MB installed and some is being used. Depending on where you're getting that figure, it might be slightly off.

I got it from Control Panel>System It says 224MB of RAM
