Since i downloded microsoft SP2 when i try to use the check disk my computer will lock up . I get a message that windows has encountered a error and needs to close, I also get one that says Dr Watson Post Mortem De Bugger has encountered a error and needs to close. If I let the reports be sent to microsoft my computer will lock up, and i have to use the power button to shut down. hence the need to use chkdsk. I can use the task manager to close my computer because it is not responding. Any ideas will help
