Reboot in "safe" mode. Use the link in my signature to tell you how if necessary.

Find and delete:

c:\documents and settings\administrator\application data\duea.exe <— file

c:\program files\iwon <— FOLDER

c:\winnt\system32\qopzhzg.dll <— file

c:\winnt\system32\roohji.exe <— file

c:\winnt\web\related.htm <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden". Use the link in my signature to explain how to show "hidden" files if necessary.

Reboot in normal mode and post a new log file. :)
Thanks for your reply and your help. I had to uninstall the newnet files from C:/WINNT. The link recommended I look there. It was not in my Add/Remove Programs and there was not a folder for it. Just 4 applications in WINNT. There were 4 of them. 4-85, 5-48, 6-10, 6-22. I did everything you mentioned except deleting c:/winnt/system32/qopzhzg.dll as I could not find it even when showing hidden files. These are the files I have beginning with q:
qappsrv
qasf.dll
qcap.dll
qcut.dll
QD3D.dll
QD3D_IR2….
qdv.dll
qdvd.dll
qedit.dll
qedwipes.dll
qmgr.dll
qmgrprxy.dll
qosname.dll
qprocess
QTML Custom Element.q3x
qtplugin
quartz.dll
query.dll
qwinsta
and quicktimes, C&VR

Here is my new log file:

Reboot.

NewDotNet still lingers… <_<

1. Download and run: http://www.cexx.org/LSPFix.exe
2. Check 'I know what I'm doing'.
3. Select 'newdotnet3_88.dll'.
4. Click the right-pointing arrow.
5. Click 'Finished'.
6. Restart your computer. Verify your Internet connection is working.

Then post a new log file. :)
I did that. Here is my new logfile: Could these have affected my computer's memory, as it was low for some unknown reason? Also, I have AVG free editin installed. Is this enough to proect my computer or do you recommend something else?

Excellent work!!!

The log is clean now!!!

Yes, this could have used up more of your machines memory.

I can propose a could of "optional" fixes to release even more RAM for you.

Read about this:

O4 - Global Startup: KODAK Software Updater.lnk = C:\Program Files\Kodak\KODAK Software Updater\7288971\Program\backWeb-7288971.exe

Here:
Remove BackWeb

If you do not want that program running (it is NOT required by Windows nor the Kodak software), fix that entry with Hijack This! and reboot.

Another "optional" fix is this one:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

Read about it here:

Quick Time

If you do not want that program running, fix that entry with Hijack This! and reboot.

The virus software you have running is recommended by malware fighters all over the web, so it can't be all that bad. Just be sure to scan regularly, keep it updated, and follow "safe" internet practices (see my speel at the end of this post).

GOD bless!!!

M68 :)

Items you may wish to consider to harden your defenses against future infections:

Read "How did I get infected in the first place?" here:

http://boards.cexx.org/viewtopic.php?t=957

Download IE-Spyad here:

https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm

IE-Spyad puts over 4000 known malicious web sites into IE's "restricted zone" to help prevent you from getting infected.

Check your browser settings here:

http://browsercheck.qualys.com/index.php

A series of "tests" (and suggested fixes) to help tweak IE's settings to help prevent infections when surfing the web.

Follow safe Internet practices:

1. Keep your virus definitions up to date, and scan your system regularly.

2. Don't open email, or download attachments from unrecognized email addresses.

3. Be careful when downloading email attachments, EVEN FROM PEOPLE YOU KNOW! Many virii, worms, and trojans infect a persons system then immeadiately spread themselves to the people in the infected persons addressbook via email attachments.

4. Be careful downloading files from the Internet. Scan all downloaded files with a reliable UP-TO-DATE antivirus program. Scan "zip" files BEFORE unzipping, and scan all unzipped files BEFORE USING THEM.

5. Keep your Windows and IE current with all the latest patches and updates.
(Personally, I'm NOT recommending SP2 for XP at this time)
Known SP2 Problems

Thanks. I will try to do that to release more RAM. I can't play some games on the internet cause it says I do not have enough browser memory and I have no idea why????? Thanks for all your help. If you have any other suggestions as to why I wouldn't have enough browser memory for games, let me know. Thanks, again.
Another good thing to do is empty your "temporary internet files" regularly. At the top of your IE page, go to: Tools > Internet Options > Delete files (check the "Delete all offline content" box) > OK > OK I do this at least once a day, even more if I browse a lot. :)
This is a copy of the message I receive and it never happened before. It just started happening this week or so. I was hoping cleaning up the system would help this also, but I just tried it and I still get the same message. Do you have any suggestions to help with this? Thanks!!!! The following error has occurred: Not Enough Memory Available Explanation: Your browser does not have enough free memory to run the game. The game applet requires approximately 3MB of free memory to run, in addition to your browser's normal memory requirements.
A few more things that might help:

At the top of your IE page, go to:

Tools > Internet Options > Settings

Check the "Amount of disk space to use". Maybe increasing it a few meg will make a difference.

You may also want to go here:

Page File Size

And consider changing the "page file" size of your machine.

Read that article carefully, then click the [ Physically Setting Page File Size ]
link at the bottom of the page if you have calculated that you need a larger page file size.

:)
I tried all the things you suggested and I still get the "your browser does not have enough free memory" error. I don't know why this recently started happening. As I mentioned before, I never had this problem in the past. Do you have any other suggestions I might try??? Thanks for everything.
Thanks for all your help with the computer. I haven't seen the trojan virus yet. Thanks. Just wanted to give you an update that I have figured out that my browser problem has something to do with msn cause I am fine in internet explorer. I have asked msn for help with this. Just wanted to let you know and say THANKS!!!!!!
