Hello, here's the set up.

Dell Omiplex 755

Windows 7 Pro

64 Bit

250GB HDD

"My Computer" properties do not display Ram and Processor.

Ram installed Two 1GB sticks

To turn on the Computer:

Hold the Orange power button, unplug the power cord from the PC, continue holding the power button, plug the power cord back into PC, let go of the power button. PC boots up.

Other Info

PC runs exceptionally slow taking 5 secs to open any window, god forbid you want a internet browser to launch, then you might as well go make coffee and come back later.

I've tried other power cords and outlet with the same results.

Let me know your thoughts.

Hello Karelia,

I suspect that there is a problem with the power supply.

Dell Omiplex 755

Should that be Optiplex 755, if yes, which particular model, there are four versions, Mini Tower, Desktop, Small Form Factor and Ultra Small Form Factor.

I would hold off purchasing anything at the moment but will post a link to a like for like PSU here

The PSU will not be the cause of the computer running slow only the problem with powering the PC up.

Let us know if you would like some help with the poor performance of Windows.
