I have MS Office 2010 Professional on a laptop mostly just using PowerPoint for service slides. For some reason, the program crashes frequently when I am opening PPTX presentation file. 
Any ideas on what is going on? I really need to fix this before next Sunday. Thanks.

Sorry to hear of your problems with MS Office 2010 Pro

 

If this happens when trying to open most or some pptx files then its probably best to repair your MSO 2010 Pro installation

 

(via control panel>Programs and Features, click on MSO, select change from the upper menu and then Repair)

 

However if its just one particular file that is causing problems then it may be enough just to use a different copy from one of your backups.
