Uninstalled a piece of software I use with the intention of upgrading to a newer version. When I attempted to install the newer version the installer crashed partway through with the following error:

Setup Launcher Unicode

Setup Launcher Unicode has stopped working

I then attempted to reinstall the version I had previously been running, but again received the same error. Have tried multiple installs, and tried rolling the computer back with restore point prior to the install hoping that would clean things up, but still no dice.

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I would try the install in safe mode, then use Revo uninstaller( free version will be fine) try it both in normal and safe mode.

your other options are a little limited.

Either contact Trimble support or perform a refresh

actually, i just finished a clean boot, as well as installing latest Win updates. not sure what did it but the install took. it did throw a couple of errors, but seems to be functioning properly. i'll make note of the Revo uninstaller for future reference.

thx a ton.
