Dear Friends at WtT,

I was trying to install an Office 2010 Language Pack.exe on my Windows7 x64 built 7601 SP1. But I keep receiving officelanguagepack.exe is not a valid Win32 application error while doing so.

Therefore I thought I better start by scanning my computer with My Avast software to understand what's going on. But unfortunately My Avast also crashes somewhere after 3rd or 4th min while scanning, having this detailed information listed:

Problem signature:

  Problem Event Name:                        APPCRASH

  Application Name:                             aswMBR.exe

  Application Version:                           1.0.1.2252

  Application Timestamp:                     5465ba64

  Fault Module Name:                          ntdll.dll

  Fault Module Version:                        6.1.7601.24384

  Fault Module Timestamp:                  5c6e2180

  Exception Code:                                  c0000005

  Exception Offset:                                0002e4c3

  OS Version:                                          6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1

  Locale ID:                                             1055

  Additional Information 1:                  0a9e

  Additional Information 2:                  0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

  Additional Information 3:                  0a9e

  Additional Information 4:                  0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

And I am asked to either "close" or "check for solution and restart".

Can you help me?

Thanks,

I can't help about avast crashing but the error in the installation of "officelanguagepack.exe" is because you have a 32-bit PC and the software is for 64-bit PCs.

Oh really?! :wall: I am sure that my Office is 32 bit
but I though that my computer was 64 bit, because my operating system is 64 bit
