win 10 hanging up

I have right clicked on Chrome wherever I can find it and it does not show properties, like most apps.

I don't want to make an issue for you so if it is a maverick it is ok if you want to disregard it.

I cannot go further until I see properties, though.

I have a Google Chrome icon on the Desktop. It was put there when I just now installed Chrome.

I right click on it and select Properties.

Add –disable-gpu to the end of the Target field.

Click Apply then OK.

I tried the icon on the taskbar, the start icon but I had removed the shortcut which is the only one with properties.

First, thanks for the work - I do understand.

Second, I am going to reinstall it to do as you say, with the shortcut.

BTW, It is coincidental you wrote me. I thought you would find it interesting that I did a clean install, am on 1511 not1607 and there is no hanging or freezing. I have 3 browsers and 8 3rd party apps.

All is perfect. B/c Defender is better with 1607 and b/c MS will make me use 1607 I will have to go there again.

I am going to image this 1511 so if the trouble with 1609 occurs again I won't have too much work to do.

For some reason,  only 1609 pauses when I click the mouse.

Hopefully by the time you have to go to 1607 again, MS will have fixed whatever is causing your problems.

I did do the upgrade over again to anniversary and all is well even with Chrome.

If you want to, please see my post to terry where my pc is 29 GB and so  is the image. I sent a Treesize prntscrn there and have run disc cleanup >system files until win. Old disappeared and all old files were removed.

This PC still shows 29 GB used and it images that.

If you go there please let me know what you think.
