Hey i am trying to find a good computer case, that is sufficient enough for a pretty well built gaming rig with good enough air cooling system.
I have a GTX 900 Nvideo Graphics card and a I7 4th Gen CPU. This is for my custom built desktop computer.
Of the cases that i looked at, these are them, i just want to get some opinions from people that know what they are looking at and help in assisting me with picking out a good case.
first because it's a good case second because of price and hot swap docking.
to be honest though in my opinion all the cases chosen will work just fine, all have usb 3 connections and have adequate fan options for cooling so really there is no wrong case just choose which ever you like the best.
Well this is the one i had before and it has been nothing but problems. The USB's malfunction, the front ports are horrible plugging anything in because the ports are to loose.
As far as air flow, for some reason, after putting it together, the case it self just gets cloged with dust in the front, those two intake fans don't really help much at all. Its supposed to be a good case to. I am through with mid tower's now though i want to get a FULL tower ATX. Here are some feedback reviews bout some people that experienced the same issues. So knowing this, i want a case that has a dust filters and good USB 3.0 support.
Cons:
The biggest thing I wanted to warn people about is there is no filter on this thing. It collects dust like crazy. Also, there is no way to hide cables. I can't believe this case still goes for $100. You can find cases for around this prices with dust filters, ability to hide cables, same amount of cooling, slots for SSD's, and better support for liquid cooling if you are so inclined.
Cons: Fire Wire port stopped working.
Both headphone and microphone ports stopped working.
Hard to clean because it has so many screws and its worse if you have more than 2 HDD's.
Wire management is pretty much non-existent.
Collects dust like a vacuum cleaner.
If you have three 3.5" drives in one or both bays you might as well disable the fan/s because its not going to do anything.
To get to the 200mm fan is much harder than it should of been.
Almost impossible to put the top left screw in for the motherboards with the 200mm fan installed.
The 200mm fan beaks easy if you are not carful. (Didn't have this problem but many people did)
Wish the fans where PWM type so I can control the speed easier instead of opening the case up and change the speed of the fans.
Can't use high profile coolers with side fan installed.
Can't use really high profile coolers (Noctua NH-D15 size) unless you remove the side window.
Very little room for a 120mm radiator for AIO liquid coolers .
Can't install a 200mm radiator unless you do a lot of modifying then it may fit.
Might not be able to fit a tri-fan GPU unless you move the 3.5" rack forward then front of the system looks silly because you will have that rack sticking out like a sore thumb.
Cons: Faulty USB 3.0 ports, Poor customer support, difficult disassembly
Cons: USB 3.0 ports do not work. The case is the problem not my motherboard (I plugged in my spare 3.0 ports from my older computer and they worked). I am very disappointed in the your craftsmanship. These things should be tested.
yeah this might be something that i may ask for assistance when i start building, i been trying to master good air balance for a while but unfortunately, my home is extremely dusty and with pets, so its really hard to keep my cases clean. The way i understand it is generally you want exhaust to be in the back and intake to be in the front. Or you can have a top fan being used as Exhaust. People generally tell me never to place intake fans at the top of the case because heat rises.
