Hi,

I am using Windows 7. Now, what is happening is:

when I am installing an update, it asks to shut down the window to install the update. While windows is shutting down, it shows update is getting installed, however, when the computer is restarted, it immidiately doesn't shows anything but after sometime (15-20 mins), it shows in Shut Down in Start menu that you need to restart computer to install update. I have restarted the computer about 5-6 times, however, the issue is still happening.

Please help me in resolving this issue.

Press F8 every second straight after boot button until you get to alternate boot options. Navigate with up/down arrows to system restore.

If you get up and running, turn off automatic updates.

Go to windows update and untick/hide  the offending update.

See how you go now.
