Trying to install Windows Essentials 2012

I have tried installing and "uninstalling" to download this program and it just won't work. It tells me that I have Live Writer, Movie Maker, etc. but I cannot find them anywhere on my computer. When I do a computer "search", it always refers to the online download, but will not show that I have the programs themselves. I am operating Windows 7…any suggestions?

Use the fix it to uninstall Windows essentials or Windows live, or whatever it's called today then reinstall it: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_…_and_uninstall/

Tried doing the suggested "fix" and still nothing!
